Excelsior 2021- Mount Columbus school invited other schools to participate in an array of activities organised by English department for the student’s nursery to class XII. The activities helped them to face the challenges ahead.

The activities include CADENNCE (rhyme recitation) for the students of Nursery and K.G, RACONTEUR (spin a yarn) for the classes I and II, FASHIONISTA (ramp walk) for the classes III to V, AD-MAD SHOW (ad making) for the classes VI TO VIII, ALL THE WORLD IS A STAGE (enactment) for the classes IX TO XII. Students from various schools participated enthusiastically.

In a nutshell, it was simply great that we received many responses from the schools. All the students showcased their creativity and artistic skill and revealed their hidden talent. They also expressed their love for the country by participating. This was not just an event for us, organising such activity is actually a proud feeling for all of us.

Tuning 2021, Another Inter school Science Competition was held from 20th-30th July on a digital platform with each day celebrating the imagination and efforts of the budding scientists of classes VI to XII. Our teachers supported our students for the smooth coordination and execution of the work

The competition included Ad Matazz for class VI in which participants had to present a humorous advertisement on a product of their choice. The theme for this activity was Healthy food/ Hygienic products/ Eco-friendly fuel. Virtuoso for class VII in which participants had to present Art work on A3 sheet.

The theme for this activity was Healing Nature/ Space Exploration. STEMification was conducted for class VIII in which participant had to use eco-friendly and recycled material available at home. Demonstrate the working of STEM project properly in video. The theme for this activity was My Futuristic Vehicle/ Mini Robot. For class IX Construction was organised in which participant has to present MP4 video explaining the game of 3-4 min in which they were supposed to use eco-friendly and recycled material available at home. Mine-O-Game was conducted for class X in which participant had to make a video using mine craft game and include clear audio descriptions about the Space Exploration/ Resource management for sustainable development. Participants added humour/ mimicry in the video. For class XI -XII Earth's Crusader - a sort of documentary was conducted in which participants were supposed to present Video should include the problem, proposed solution and prototype.

INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION

COMPETITION IS NOT JUST A COMPETITION IT IS A WAY AND A PLATFORM TO SHOWCASE THE TALENT FOR RECOGNITION 

Mount Columbus School organises ample of inter school competitions every year. This enables students to compete and showcase their talent and build their confidence. All great things begin with a small step and one such endeavour of our school is the Inter school Competition.

AVENIK 2021, An online Inter-School competition was organized by Mount Columbus school in such a way that the students not only enjoyed but also learnt a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view the inter-school competition was held in commemoration of the memories of our freedom fighters in the month of August 2021 and unfurled the patriotic feeling among one and all. The school witnessed an ample of online activities organised by our Social Science department under the guidance of our honourable Principal ma’am, for the classes I to X.

All the students were at their best. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmark of the competition. We invited judges from various fields and integrated all the subjects to judge the competition. All the participants were awarded with the E-certificate of participation and all the position holders were awarded with E-badges and the E-certificates both. Many schools participated in the competition and it was a proud feeling for us.
